I have chosen Assassin's Creed Lore as my topic and am now taking my knowledge mixed with some research to bring the Assassin's Creed Lore to you! This site will have each of the main games (console games) summarized here on the main page, each main character on the Characters page, and the Artifacts on their own page. If you see any mistakes, to be added or removed please let me know using the Contact page.
Assassin's Creed is a video game franchise (also available in other media) currently totaling 14 games. Out of these 14 games, 5 are currently on "current gen" consoles with the 6th being released on October 29th for "current gen" consoles and in November on the "next gen" consoles. The other 8 games are for hand-held items, such as DS, PSVita, Android, iOS, etc. Each of these games is part of a crucial time era being the "Third Crusade", "Renaissance", or the "Colonial Era".
Assassin's Creed itself can be a long game to unfold each characters story and not everyone has the time, or for some reason loses interest. My goal is to take the Assassin's Creed Lore and allow you to see what each character has been through and has done rather than having to play through to unfold the Assassin's Creed Lore for yourself. Assassin's Creed also has books available as well as a movie in the foreseeable future!
The main story begins in 2012 with Desmond Miles who has been abducted by a company known as "Abstergo Industries" who want to use him to find artifacts hidden in his bloodlines past. Desmond Miles is a modern Assassin who has been trained, but doesn't really know about the brotherhood or the Templars (Abstergo Industries is run by Templars). Desmond was a bartender in New York after running away from his home "The Farm" located in Black Hills, South Dakota, United States. He was tired of living like he had no freedom stuck training for something he didn't really understand. Desmond has no idea why he was abducted, where they have brought him, what they want and what they are going to force him to do.
Within the Assassin's Creed Lore you play as Desmond in the first three games, alternating between either Altaïr, Ezio or Connor as Desmond in the Animus. This is the Assassin's Creed Lore that I have put together from my knowledge with a little research for refresher, but some things may not be "correct" so feel free to let me know the correction. Assassin's Creed Lore (Animus 1.28)
First Game (Assassin's Creed)
Jumping into the first game, you start out as Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Which translates to "The Bird, Son of no one") and you are in the animus, but it is not working properly. All the faces you see are faceless and the skies around have a blue glowing aura leaving you to run around like a chicken with its head cut off. This meaning you have no idea what is going on, no idea on what to do and nothing makes sense, but to run around looking for answers. You start to hear two voices, a female, Lucy Stillman and a man, Warren Vidic. You can hear them discussing the animus and how it is not working properly, eventually you come back to Desmond and the machine glass above you slides allowing you to sit up. Desmond argues about being there and is then threatened to get into the animus so that he can retrieve the artifact(s). After you argue for a while about being let go and why you should do this for them, you are put back in the animus. Once you are back in the animus they have put you in a training simulation so you learn how to control his ancestor Altaïr through the animus.
Altaïr being the first in the blood line that you play he is important to the Assassin's Creed Lore because he has done so much to change the balance between the Assassin's and the Templars. He was also the youngest Assassin to reach the rank of Master Assassin
Jumping into the Assassin's Creed Lore for Altaïr first appears to us in the year 1190 during the Third Crusade where he is currently being tasked with obtaining a sacred artifact "The Chalice". The Chalice is a powerful item and is said to unite all factions of the same flag to the holder’s side. Altaïr learns of its where abouts and travels to Jerusalem to get to the Chalice before the Templars can get a hold of it. Altaïr runs into a woman of his past named Adha, who helps him against the Templars, and it turns out that she was "The Chalice" having powers similar to "The Pieces of Eden". Altaïr rescues the "Apple of Eden" from the Templars, but also learns that the second in command of the Assassin's is working in order with the Templars. Altaïr then makes his way to the fortress where this traitor Harash is located and kills him, and Adha is captured by the Templars.
Jumping forward Altaïr attempts to stop Robert de Sable and a group of his Templars from obtaining an artifact within an Assassin's Fortress. Doing so to stop de Sable, Altaïr breaks all three of the Brotherhood's tenets. Because of this Al Mualim, the current leader of the brotherhood at the time has no choice, but to demote Altaïr back to the rank of Novice. Altaïr makes his way back up the ranks of the brotherhood by completing tasks assigned to him that lead to assassinating eight targets in Jerusalem of the Templar order working his way up to the ninth Robert de Sable. Altaïr accuses de Sable of Templar treason to King Richard and this results in a fight to the death between Altaïr & de Sable. Altaïr eliminates de Sable, but in his dying words he teaches Altaïr about a tenth Templar by the name of Al Mualim, the current brotherhood leader.
After finding out that Al Mualim is a Templar and is in posession of the "Apple of Eden"
